Join us for Fetch the Flag CTF on February 27, from 9 am - 9 pm ET, hosted by Snyk and John Hammond.
What is a CTF?
Capture the Flag (CTF) is a competition in which teams and individuals compete to solve security challenges. The one that can collect the most flags the fastest wins the competition, and typically, prizes!
How long does this CTF last?
Fetch the Flag CTF runs from Thursday, February 27, from 9 am ET to 9 pm ET. You are welcome to play for as long as you’d like, whether that is 30 minutes or 12 hours!
How do I access the CTF challenges?
We will send you an email closer to the event date with instructions on accessing the CTF platform.
Can I participate in the CTF as an individual player?
Yes, you can play the CTF individually, but teams are highly encouraged!
How do I create a team?
You will be able to create your team on the official Fetch the Flag CTF platform as we get closer to the event. Your team can have up to 5 people.
Will there be solutions provided after the CTF?
Yes! We will be sharing solutions in the weeks following the CTF.
I’m new to CTF. How do I get started?
Join our CTF 101 Workshop on February 13 to learn how to solve CTF challenges. You’ll learn tips and tricks and get live support from our experts that you can use during Fetch the Flag CTF on February 27.
What is Snyk?
Snyk is a developer security platform. You can use Snyk to detect vulnerabilities and possible entry points in CTF challenges, so you can uncover hidden flags faster.
Who is John Hammond?
John Hammond is a cybersecurity researcher, educator, and content creator. He has 1.9M+ subscribers on YouTube showcasing programming tutorials, malware analysis, and other cyber security content.
