Meet Black@Snyk
Snyk Resource Groups (SRGs) amplify the voices of historically underrepresented and marginalized communities. Snyker-led SRGs foster a community-focused, inclusive workplace where all employees feel they belong. Through strategic programming, community building, networking events, and professional development opportunities, SRGs catalyze our Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity efforts at Snyk.
Black@Snyk, one of our five SRGs, is dedicated to providing a space to uplift, empower, and support the Black community at Snyk by facilitating an open dialogue and positively impacting the experience of Black employees at Snyk.

Get to know Ashley Ladd and Alysa Turner
The contributions and dedication of our Snykers enrich our company culture and drive our shared success forward. This month, we spotlight two Snykers, Ashley Ladd and Alysa Turner.
Both Ashley and Alysa are dedicated to building strong communities at Snyk. As Director of Diversity, Inclusion & Social Impact, Ashley fosters a workplace culture of belonging through impactful programs and initiatives while leading Snyk's corporate social responsibility efforts. Similarly, Alysa, Senior Customer Community Manager, focuses on growing and engaging Snyk's customer base by developing and leading programs that create a thriving customer community.
In a conversation led by Ashley, she and Alysa share their perspectives on Black History Month, recount stories of Black resilience and triumph from their own experiences, and offer career advice to their younger selves.

Supporting local Black-owned businesses
Investing in our local communities is integral to our Care Deeply core value. To celebrate Black History Month, we're demonstrating our support for Black-owned businesses in Boston. Earlier this month, Snykers enjoyed a Caribbean-inspired lunch from Gourmet Kitchen. From jerk chicken to sweet plantains, it was a delicious hour.
The celebration didn’t stop there! We also hosted an evening with TJ Douglas, Owner and Founder of The Urban Grape. While we enjoyed wine from Black-owned winemakers, TJ shared his career story and imparted his wine wisdom. He traced his love for hospitality back to its roots, detailing how he nurtured that passion into the wine industry and reflected on how each experience shaped his journey to build a thriving business and community program in The Urban Grape.
We look forward to more collaborations and partnerships with local businesses that contribute positively to our community throughout the year.

Making a difference with Snyk Impact
At Snyk, we believe in the power of collective action to drive meaningful change. Our Snyk Impact program was created to amplify social responsibility and allow all Snykers an opportunity to get involved.
We encourage you to join us in giving back to organizations that advance racial equity, protect civil rights, and build brighter futures for underserved communities. This month, Snyker donations made through our Deed campaign to the Equal Justice Initiative, Southern Poverty Law Center, Innocence Project, and NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund were matched 1:1.
In addition to donating, Snykers also got involved by volunteering their time. Boston Snykers came together as One Team to build STEM educational kits in our February Impact event. These hands-on kits will help young students, especially those from underrepresented and under-resourced communities, explore science and math, boosting their confidence and love for learning.
